Any info on research/progress with using gene therapy to treat anxiety or depression? I read in TIME magazine how scientists are hypothesizing in this area. I would think this to be a MAJOR area of interest (and source of hope) to many people here!!
I would guess we're looking at least 10-15 years before we see this kind of treatment mainstream. Any thoughts?

James here....So far gene therapy is in its infancy and attemps
to use it have mostly failed. Still a lot of basic nuts and bolts to work out. Once the basics
of how to make gene thearpy work are aquired one could make a reasonable est. of how long before mental helath will be effected.James
