Hey, pdoc now suggesting risperdal to augment amytriptiline. What do you out there in babble-land think of risperdal???

Tina,
Risperdal caused severe blurred vision for me, so I had to discontinue it after only a couple of weeks. This is probably very rare but I'm like that. I got the Lamictal rash, too.
I think I wrote another post to you a few days ago - did you see it?

Hi Tina,
Personally, I've gotten an excellent response from risperidone (1 mg/day). It's good as an add-on for depression. Check out the posts here about it, a lot of people seem to like it.

Have you tried more traditional augmentation agents for depression like Lithium, Thyroid hormone, or buspirone?

It's a good medication with very little side effects, from my personal experience.
