Hi. As you, esp sal, know... I am taking effexor xr 100m. The first week.. I didn't have problem sleeping. My doctor initially told me to take it at night, since I've always had a problem taking it. I've tried taking at at all times since then. I don't necessarily have problems falling asleep..... but when I do.... I can sleep forever. Last night I went to bed at 2. I set my alarm for 10(because I didn't feel like sleeping till 1 again).... and I slept thru my alarm until my friend who is staying with me comes in and wakes me up and tells me "Your alarm has been going off for almost an hour!" I wake up fine and bright eyed.... but this is way to commom. Frustration!!!!!!!!!

If it makes you feel better, I slept in through my alarm clock and skipped my first time skipping college this semester. Today was sucky, I was so bored and felt guilty when I woke up at 10am but, hey, my loss :-). I am on meds, Anafranil (Clomipramine).
