Dear meds folks,
There is a guy Dubya on the Psy-Social Board who is going through a patch of suicidal ideation. He had a question about Clomipramine on that board that you might not have seen...http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/social/20010324/msgs/5484.html
He has doubled his dosage from 30 mg at night, to 60 mg. His doctor doesn't know and Dubya feels guilty, so he's not telling him about it. He complains of 'fuzzyheaded-ness,'and now he's having a really rough time. Could the Clomipramine have instigated the suicidal thoughts? He seems pretty desperate (if you can tell over e-mail).
Please help with anything you might know, I will be searching the archives too.
This afternoon I suggested to him to go down off 60 mg, back to 30 where his dr wanted him to be, and to call the dr right away... I hope this was the right thing to say, now I'm feeling uneasy. I have no knowledge of the drug. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Wendy

I have taken 60mg for 4 days but, since Monday, I dropped it to 30mg. I just want to get well. I will be more patient of course and hope for the best. I just have small dips in mood every now and then even with the meds. When I realize that life goes on, I say to myself, "get over the obssessing, let things be and see how good they really are." Thanks everyone for their input though.

OK, it's after 2:00 am, time to go to sleep. I hope you're feeling better, a little at least. Maybe you should try to rest, too...
Like I said, everyone's pulling for you,
Wendy
