I have been on Effexor for seven weeks now and have worked up to 75mg. and am very sleepy during the day even though I am taking effexorXR around 4PM in the afternoon. Does this drowsiness eventually go away or does it go away at a higher dose? Any suggestions?

>Everyone is different!
I was very fatigued( Sleeping 18-20hrs a day )this is a sign of my major depression! I was up to 225mg of effexor xr and it did not matter what time of day I took it all I wanted to do was "SLEEP" After about 6 months I reduced my dose to 75mg and now I have to take imovane to help me sleep at night and then I only sleep for 4-5hrs.Iknow how you feel it is horrible when all you want to do is sleep, I really don't know what to suggest as the higher dose did not help me (it did help to lift my depression some though)
GOOD LUCK
