Hello. I may give zyprexa a try, but I find the minimal dose still pretty high, considering the fact that poeple with severe psychotic symptoms benefit from it at doses such as 7.5 or 10 mg. I don't want to mess too much on my cns, so I thought of taking one 2.5 tablet every two days. Would that be "all right", considering it's pharmacodynamic properties? What about one every three days?
Thank's,
Doo

No, that dosing schedule is not alright. You need to take at least 2.5 mg HS in order to keep blood levels up. I think the reason you feel so tired every day is simply a symptom of your other disorders, and will go away soon. People eventually get used to Zyprexa and its cousins Risperdal and Seroquel. BTW, I took 10 mg of Zyprexa for three months and never had any of the sedation or weight gain that others have experienced.

>Hello SalArmy4me.
I tried the zyprexa for the first time yesterday night. This morning, I was incapable of getting up! It's 6 pm now and I'm just beginning to feel relief from the heavy feeling I got all the day... I was feeling stoned, elsewhere (even more than usually). I have always been very careful with the meds I take, and today's experience was not a good point for zyprexa... I wonder why lilly doesn't make 1 mg pills... I really felt like I had taken tranquilizer for horses!!! My doc raised my dose of Neurontin so I will see what happens with that before going on with the zyp. Maybe seroquel would be more suitable for me, if I get no results with my manerix-neurontin mix, since seroquel is available at much lower dosage compared to zyprexa.
Bye,
Doo.
