When you increase the dosage of Effexor do you get new side effects? I am presently on 37.5, which will be raised this week to 75.

> Hi, Blazer, I'am so glad you asked this question because I am curious about this as well. I am due to increase my dose from 37.5 mg. to 75 mg. in the next day or so. Would you be willing to share what side effects you have experienced so far? As for myself, the first few days were kind of "wierd", and then felt pretty energized or "jittery", insomnia is a problem along with waking up feeling kind of panicky. My pdoc gave me Klonopin for night time and this helps me sleep. See my later posts about Effexor and Xanax Rebound for more information about benzo use. Would love to hear your experiences with Effexor so far. What have you tried in the past? This is the first AD that I actually have lasted on for more than a week! My depression is already lifting. How about you? Take Care, Anne

Blazer & Anne L:
I used to be on Effexor but have switched to Wellbutrin because of the sexual side-effects. I was taking 150 mg of it. I went from 75mg-150mg.
I did not notice any side-effects. The same cannot be said if you forget to take the pill for one day. I highly recommend that you not do this!!
75mg is still a relatively small dose. The side-effects should be minimal if not any at all!
Good Luck:-))
