Hello,
This goes out to anyone who can give my some insight into the side effects of Wellbutrin Sr. I have tried Zoloft and Effexor and have currently switched over to Wellbutrin Sr because of the sexual side effects of the latter two pills. I am feeling very, very dizzy, lightheaded, nauseated, and experiencing headaches. As well, I have some blood in my stools. I only started the pills three days ago. I feel like grap and am having trouble just trying to function. I have never experienced this before and I don't know how long I can handle this!

Mel - What dose of Wellbutrin SR are you taking? Also, as to the blood in the stool, is it red or black? - Cam

Could this be effexor withdrawal? Did you just stop taking the effexor recently?

Mighty Mel,
I stopped taking Wellbutrin recently because it made me feel just awful. My head was fuzzy, had horrific GI issues (constant stomach pains, etc), gained weight, aggravated moods & very antagonistic, tired, achy - it was awful. Worst of everything was the mind-numbing. I'd read about people who "dumbed-down" on wellbutrin - not remembering names, words, etc. I was skeptical of these symptoms until I experienced them myself. It was scary. Between the GI issues & the mind-freeze, I quit cold-turkey. Luckily I didn't have any withdrawal problems. I know some people love Wellbutrin - for me it was all side-effects & no benefits.
Good luck,

Cam - The blood is pinkish/red. My doctor thinks it's a hemmroid but didn't have a look or anything. She just jumped to that conclusion. I don't think it's a hemmroid at all for I am only 22 years of age and there's no evidence to support this. I would assume that if it is a hemmroid that I would have one sore ass. This is not the case.
As for the dose of Webutrin SR; 150mg once a day.
This is the end of the thread.
