Hi
Does anyone have found a good agent to augment the celexa`s antidepressant effect? I tried Lithium (awfull nausea), Remeron (to much sedation) and Flupentixol (good initial response with poop-out).
What could I try next ? I have a melancholic depression with loss of selfesteem and motivation.-adding Risperidone or Amisulpride ?
-adding Buspirone or Pindolol ?
-adding a tricyclic like Norttryptiline ?
-adding moclobemide (substitution) ?Any ideas or suggestions ? Thanks

Ben,
I am not a medical professional so please keep that in mind but have you asked about stimulants such as ritalin, adderall, or concerta? I'm also wondering if adding Wellbutrin might be another option?

Aside from making you too tired, did the Remeron help with your depression? If so, maybe you could try a higher dose of Remeron. Remeron causes less sedation at higher doses. For that reason, some docs start patients with 60 mg.

Augmenting my Celexa (30 mg.)with Neurontin (1600 mg.) has helped me quite a lot. (Though PMS is still a difficult time.) I recommend it.
