I've been taking 1mg of Xanax 3 x a day and was just wondering if anyone had any of the following side effects. My gums seem to blister quite easily, and (a girl side effect) I bleed a little every day. It also seems to have caused a mild rash. Anyone out there had these probs?

I have no clue. Probably not related to the xanax though. Never happened to me.

Hi Jackster. I've taken Xanax off and on for a few years, and have never had the side-effects you mention. It just makes me sleepy. I think it's one of the most marvellous inventions ever! I'd climbing walls now if it weren't for Xanax.

Anytime you develop a rash after starting a drug, the concern is that you may be developing a hypersensitivity or allergic response to that drug. The gum blistering could also be a symptom of this type of response. You should talk to your doctor right away in regards to these symptoms. And don't worry they're lots of drugs out there that can treat anxiety if you can't take xanax.
Mikel.
