Hi
Does anyone have experiences in augmentation of celexa (citalopram) with lithium ? I have probably a unipolar depression and the biggest problem is my melancholic mood. My doc had some patients who responded very good.
Many thanks for your answers.

In reply to celexa (citalopram) and lithium any experiences ?, posted by ben on January 4, 2001, at 9:05:29
I am on Celexa. So far so good but my pdoc said that if it ever becomes less effective, the first thing to do is raise the dose. If that doesn't do it, he then adds either Wellbutrin or Lithium. He said that Lithium is very effective as an augmenter. (But you would need periodic blood tests).
