How is the Neurontin working for you, can you tell yet? Are you still at 900mg? I've been pushed up to 600 from 300.

allison,
The Neurontin is working great! My mood swings are under control and I really feel relaxed and focused in as long as I can remember (keeping in mind I usually can't remember yesterday ;^)). I am, and will probably stay at the 900 mg level. I haven't noticed any side-effects other than some some minor fatigue, but nothing I can't handle. I've been on a bit of a down swing since my surgery on Monday but I'm sure that will pass. I think it's just a little frustration at not being able to do much for myself and having to lie down all the time.
How's it working out for you? I hope you're having as much success as I am.
Greg

Greg,
I wish I were doing as well as you are. I have felt agitated, scattered, irritable. My sleep is only 7 hours at most even when I give myself more time, I cannot catch up on sleep. At first I started feeling pretty good, upbeat. Lately, just wired. Not relaxed at all. Some of it probably has to do with work in recent days. Some of it has to do with my last therapy session. It's hard to tell what is causing this, drugs or outside events. I'm glad your knee surgery went well.Best wishes,
Allison

Allison,
Sorry to hear that you're not seeing any positive results yet. Keeping in mind that my memory is not what it used to be, could you refresh me on your dianosis and what meds you are taking besides the Neurontin (if there are any). I also take Zyprexa and I believe it is the combo of the two that are doing the trick. I'm averaging 8-10 hrs of sleep a night and could probably sleep longer if I could get away with it. Is your doc considering uping the dose of the Neu at all? Perhaps a supplement to it might help?

Greg,
I'm on 200mg Wellbutrin SR in the morning and 200mg at 3 pm. I was taking 15mg Remeron at night, but my doctor substituted the Neurontin for it. I take 200 mg Neurontin in the morning and 400mg at night. I'm thinking about asking him if I can add my Remeron back again, but he doesn't like to add too many meds. Two seem to be his limit. He didn't want me taking Neurontin with Wellbutrin and Remeron two weeks ago.My Dx is major depression - moderate, but my doctor just told me it also is chronic and refractory, which has not helped my mood this week, either. Thanks.

Sorry, make that "a week ago." It just feels like two.
This is the end of the thread.
