Dr Bob and everyone contributing here - thank you!
This board saves lifes - at least saved mine. It gave me the
knowledge how to handle my depression and support since the last year when I lost my
career because of my depression. THANK YOU!Anna P.

I'll have to agree. This board was an important, if not essential, component of my recovery because of both the amazing support and because of the information that helped me educate myself about strategies for treatment. Without this place and the thyroid books/web sites, I don't know where I would be.

I feel like I am spiraling downward fast, and it's any day that I'll be let go for lack of productivity.
If you don't mind me asking, what happened with your job? Is everything OK now.

> If you don't mind me asking, what happened with your job? Is everything OK now.Hi Christina,
I have a treatment-resistant depression, mainly the loss of energy, concentration and fatigue.
I had to give up my career for now, and accept that fact.By the way, have you tried Wellbutrin and stimulants? There are many options out there. I wish you good luck.
You must do something to prevent the worst. I know that I've tried my best.Anna P.

> Have you looked into thyroid problems?Thank you, Noa for your concern. I had the thyroid checked (was O'K), and took Cytomel for a few months until it stopped
working. Can I expect different results from Synthroid (T4) augmentation)?Anna P.

I don't know whether synthroid will work better for you than cytomel. I take both.
Have you seen my posts about abnormal "normal" results of thyroid tests? For more info, see the Thyroid and Depression folder at psycho-babble-tips.
