i'm taking a very small amount of serzone (about 25mg 2x daily) with remeron. i tried serzone for my depression and although it seemed to help with anxiety some, it didn't touch the depression. i like it, i don't think the side effects are bad at all, and i actually lost weight when i took a higher dose for several months. i did notice that when i drank caffeinated drinks on serzone it almost made my anxiety worse, hard time breathing, feeling panicky. i also noticed that you CAN NOT drink alcohol with serzone. one beer and i would have a hangover the next day as though i had been at a college kegger. hope it's working out for you.

Hi,
I don't know if i can help you too much with this AD now. But, I did just start taking it a few days ago. Today was day 3 for me. This is my 4th AD that I have tried and I am praying that it works. So far I have noticed some fatigue but, not real bad. I have noticed a positive change in myself already. Not sure if that's due to this medication or my counselor. I have experianced far fewer side effects with this one so far than i had with the others. How long have you been taking it? How are you reacting to it? I'll keep you posted. Good Luck!!!

> WinWinfield, I take Serzone (only 75mg/day right now). I used to take much more, and really liked the decreased social anxiety I felt. At first, during the first couple of weeks, I felt really anxious, dizzy, and moody, but that went away and I felt wonderful. (It didn't help OCD so I had to switch to Effexor-XR and now only take a small amount of Serzone, to help me sleep). Hope this helps.

Win,
I liked it, but I was already taking Xanax when I tried it. At the time I was looking for something to augment the Xanax so I could reduce the Xanax. Actually, that mix increases the blood level of Xanax, so it made me extremely dizzy. I think I would have liked Serzone better had I not been taking Xanax. Give it a try ... you may like it. I don't recall any adverse sexual side effects.

Why does Serzone appear to have so many good ancedotes online of it working on anxiety? How does it differ from other SSRIs?
