Does it really help generalized anxiety? It did two years ago for me after about 8 weeks of treatment on it, however, I took it in February and had more anxiety, and am taking it again - but I was wondering how it has helped y'all with anxiety? Just give positive feedback please - can't stand all this negative stuff because it doesn't help with my healing.
Thanks!

To Lisa:
I am not a pro yet at this posting stuff so I hope you will get these few lines. I have been on this Effexor XR for about 8 weeks now & it has helped in such a positive way. Prescribed by my M.D. as I had been fighting the pressure for years now in a high stress job and my ways of dealing with the stress were not working. I had been having these terrible explosions at work. Almost threw everything to the wind 9 weeks ago and one time previous to that. I am more even now and function just "perfecto." I dismiss the side effects as I accept tradeoffs in life. It is so wonderful to not have those awful explosions at work now. Regarding all the negative comments I have read about coming off, side effects, etc. I can understand. I dismiss it and if it's in the program for me to deal with it then I will at that time. This is the first anti-depressant, anti-anxiety agent that I have taken and it is working for me. Larry

Effexor is really good, but get ready to gain 40 pounds or so.
