I was just wondering if marijuana and paxil were a bad combination. My friends often smoke it around me and I sometimes get high. I'm just wondering how this will affect me and if it can be a fatal combination.

James here....This combination is not fatal.

I don't think that weed is toxic in combination with anything
Its a fat souluble natural chemical, its probably way safer than
most of the pharmacuticals that we all take.

IF you are smoking while taking paxil, I don't think that that is a terrible thing to do.
But the question you need to ask yourself is this: Is the weed the cause of my anxiety? One of the side effects
of MJ is anxiety, and in chronic users this can lead to increased paranoia and anxiety. SO did you have
anxiety before you began smoking, or is it possible that your current anxiety problems
have been brought more to the surface by the MJ.
Just think about it ...

Look up cannabis in the DSMIV, maybe it will dissuade you from smoking up!

I have smoked weed while on paxil, for weeks i have experienced drastic mood changes. It also has different effects on people who are on paxil than people who are not, no one has died as of yet. However it may cause serious mental disorders. It is not suggested to smoke weed while on this drug. Weed is a depressant, Paxil is an anti-depressant, these to crash together in the brain and the results are unpredictable, some may think that they are losing there mind.... It is not suggested to smoke weed when on this medication ecspecially if you are taking it for depression.
