I just started taking Effexor XR a few days ago, my DR told me to take it in the morning but it makes me really tired, can you take it at bedtime? I took it lastnight before I went to bed and I slept pretty well, just wondering why you should take in the morning?
Thanks, Cynthia

Your doc, like most, doesn't really know the right time to take it. The right time to take it is the time that works for YOU, not for the doctor. You can take it anytime you want. Whatever works best for you is the right way.

Then I started taking 2 a day, so I take one in am, one in pm.
It doesnt make me tired, so thats not a problem with me.
It keeps me up at night, so THAT is a prob for me.
I agree with John, whatever works best for you.

your doctor just suggests...if it works better taking your meds at night for u, switch to the pm.i have tried both and have found taking my meds at bedtime work much better.
