I was on Paxil for two years. During that time I gained 30 pounds. Now I'm really depressed about that. My medical diagnosis is acute anxiety/panic disorder. Paxil worked well for me but I really can't handle the weight gain! Has anyone switched from Paxil to Serzone. Does Serzone cause weight gain? I've been weaning off Paxil and stepping up my dose of Serzone for several weeks. I feel like a zombie and can barely keep my eyes open during the day (I take the meds at night). I also feel kind of confused and my mind is like a sieve; as soon as information is input, it just drops out of my thinking area. Please help if you have any information. Thanks in advance

Amy, I felt pretty weird on Serzone, at first, but after the third and fourth week, I felt great. The fatigue, feelings of strangeness, mood shifts, etc., were bothersome at first but disappeared, for me. Hope you can hang in there long enough to see some positives...talk about it with your pdoc and see how long is realistic.--Cindy W
