I just want everyone to know that I am not ignoring posts directed to me that other people have answered. It just means that I couldn't have answered them any better. I really do enjoy the challenge of answering posts, but if you think anything I say may be wrong, please call me on it. I am still learning this stuff, too and have made glaring mistakes in the past. Thanks. Sincerely - Cam W.

Well, Cam, now that you mention it... If you deprive people of serotonin precursors, you do in fact produce significant depression in some individuals. The classic study (at Harvard?) was referenced in "Listening to Prozac."
Ironically, there was a lab in the US that was formulating amino-acid mixes based on what people needed, according to their blood tests. So I paid something like $95 for a couple of pounds of white protein powder. The only problem is, they weren't allowed to put any trytophan in it, so... you guessed it, I had $95 worth of junk that was almost guaranteed to worsen my depression. Anyone want a good deal on some 5-year old protein powder?
Cam, seriously, you're a treasure. I hope you don't mind my ribbing you. It's a sign of my affection.
