Cass:
I believe that, in very low doses, the routine stimulants (ritalin, dexedrine)will not cause anxiety or psychosis. My (sample size = 1)experience with wellbutrin suggests that this is not the way to go.Good strides are being made in eeg therapy -- you should consider researching this non-drug therapy, perhaps in addition to an ssri or other AD, if you've had bad results with other meds.

My son was insistent that Ritalin made him sleepy. He was 15 at the time and had been taking it for ten years before he announced this. I have zero regrets about having had him on it all of that time. It was the right thing to do.

you may find what you thought was anxiety was ADD, and much of it went away with a stimulant
