ryan-
I have had no personal experience with Dr. Calabrese, but a PubMed search on Calabrese JR yielded 60 articles he authored or coauthored from 1983-Oct.1999. A quick scan showed most to be about lamotrigine or other anticonvulsants used in bipolar Tx. He sounds like the real deal, in research at least. Hope you have a good therapeutic fit. Good luck!

> ryan_sRyan - I have read many of Dr.Calabrese's articles. I'd be honored just to meet the man. He knows his stuff. He's the guy that picked apart the Omega-3 Fish Oil study. Wow, I didn't know he had a clinical practice. You got one of the best. Good luck - Cam W.

Lets hope his clinical skills and "bedside" manner are up to his research skills. Keep us posted.

thank you very much cam. it is such a relief to hear that calbrese is for real. cam, when i called to make an appointment with calabrese, his secretary answered. she asked me a few of the basic questions that have to deal with depression. next, the secretary could not stop praising calabrese. she just kept on saying that he is the best pschiatrist out there. when i combine the enthusiasm of the secretary with your praise of calabrese, i am estatic. there has never been a time, while i have looked for a psych, that there is an overwhelming majority of praise for a doctor and his practice.
i have had depression for the last two years and i am only 22 years old. i feel as if my last two years of college have been stolen from me. Hopefully calabrese will make the difference. if you want i will keep you posted cam. my first appointment is on tuesday.
thanks again,
