Just a note to all. I have seen Wellbutrin added to Effexor and it turned non-responders to responders in people with fairly severe major depressive disorder. I have seen this in 2 cases. - Cam W.

My son added Wellbutrin to Effexor when the Effexor effects began to wane. His hope was to feel more "energized." As he put it, it didn't give him more energy, but he just didn't worry about it any more! AFter about a year and half, however, he had one seizure out of the blue and a neurologist insisted he go off the Wellbutrin. All test results were negative so we really don't know for sure what happened. Now looking for either a completely new drug or new adjunct to the Effexor. Have been reading, with interest, the posts on Reboxetine and the stimulants. This place is a wealth of information!
