My mother was diagonased with cancer in April, she had just lost her job cause the plant she was working for had shut down and she lost her insurance so when she has to have medicine pertaining to the cancer she cannot afford it. She is 60 years old. I would like more info on the medicine for the needy. Thanks

Hi Donna,
Did you already read the thread above called "Drug patient assistance program"? Also, perhaps your mother qualifies for state or federal disability. When my mother had cancer, the hospital decided to accept her state disablity as full coverage, then later her social security disabilty. In any case, I hope the information in the previous thread helps you.

Donna
Also, don't forget to get some tax advice since
many things (including mileage to clinics, equipment,
etc.) are deductible. And if you are contributing to
her care, you may also qualify to take various deductions.
I don't know where you/she live, but most areas
have free or low-cost tax help. And the net
has tons of stuff, too.
I wish better times for your mom and you,
bb
