We're bullshitting. It's an old timers board...nursing home..stabs at humor.
What you're saying is you can't see the humor? Can't blame one for that. Did keep the board moving along..sorta.

So, what do y'all want to talk about? 8^)

There are jokes on PSB and people still post about other things. There wasn't a lot of activity here and I don't think a little dumb humor thread, of all things, is a reason not to post.
If people post because they don't think it's funny or don't know that we're "playing", then, by all means, post whatever you want.
I won't post here again until I find some dark, depressing subject matter. Cool??
I've never heard of someone not posting because there are too many jokes. There's no guilt by association.
I think all of us posting semi-humor can be quite serious and helpful.
I really don't believe humor will keep people away but you don't like all that humor stuff so I'll come back only when I'm at the absolute pit of despair.
But once again, three complaints but nothing new. Think about it.

I was just stating my own cerebral incapacity. It wasn't a shot at anyone in particular except myself. I always feel one (maybe two) steps behind everyone else in the world. OUtside looking in, nose pressed against the glass.

I get that your posts are humour, I just don't get the humour. It doesn't offend me that you're funny. My own stupidity and lack of understanding just makes me feel bad.

That's all. I didn't mean to cause such a problem. Maybe I should be the one to keep my mouth shut and stop posting.
I'm sorry Phil.

I wasn't directing it at you alone and probably should keep my mouth shut. I posted that on lunch and I feel like a zombie today. Hate to make excuses.
I don't feel like or have never read anything that would make me think you, or for that matter, 99% of the posters are stupid.
I've got to see my pdoc, she's on vacation til the 20th. I have way too short of a fuse lately and that's not like me. I'm taking 400mg Wellbutrin, 60mg Adderall, 60mg Celexa, and 2mg Klonopin. I guess it is the Wellbutrin turning me into an a33h8le but that's still no reason to strike out at good people just because they have a different opinion.
Anyway Tina, how could you call yourself stupid after reading my posts here, I mean really. :-)
Not to get personal but after being on meds for 20 years, I'd be embarrased to say how much sex I've had in that time. I just get frustrated and angry way too easy.
Tina, PLEASE don't take my comments personally.
I'd hope Chris and Nikki can take it with a grain of salt and consider the source. Hideous mood today.
Thanks for listening, Tina. Please don't stop posting and don't think your the only one that feels slow. I feel it all the time, too. Not on this board that much but in my life..big problem.

I really think that y'all should take advantage of my absence to blame any misunderstandings, anger, shortcomings in your meds, etc, on me. I'm only going to be sticking my head in here once in awhile while I take care of some long overdue business in the real world. So please feel free to abuse me to your heart's content. I take it as a sign of love :)

I may have some very good news soon that's going to help turn things around for me and I'll share it with you if it happens. In the mean time, I miss you guys very much. I'll leave you with my favorite joke...

Two guys walk into a bar. The first guy says to the second guy, "You didn't see it either?"

Later,
Greg

Phil
I totally understand the short fuse. I'm having one of those too but mine comes between bouts of self-loathing, unfortunately, feeling stupid is a symptom of that.
Don't keep your mouth shut Phil. I do enjoy your posts, I just wish I could understand them better.
I hope your pdoc can help with your feelings of zombiness and anger. I know the feeling all too well and it's not a fun place to be.
I hope your day is better today.
take care

This feeling bad sucks. I went to my MD yesterday to have some blood work done to test my testosterone levels. Since I read that low testosterone mimics depression in it's symtoms and also can cause depression. Have to wait a week for the results.
If that's okay, I may ask him for a referral to an endocrinologist to check my thyroid even though my levels were normal, in my MD's view, in January.
I don't think I'll find what I'm looking at either place but I'd love to hear that I'm operating on very low T. levels. I'll let y'all know.

Thanks again, Tina

Home from work, again,
Phil

I just watched a show about this exact thing Phil and the cure is so easy. It's just a gel that you rub into your skin every day. It would be great if this is what was causing your "bad feeling" I hope it's just that simple Phil.
I had to have my thyroid tested 5 times before my doc finally agreed that it was too low but unfortunately for me, taking thyroid meds didn't help. They just made me anxious as hell. Not a good feeling either. Make your doc separate the test. Don't let him just test the TSH, but the T3 and T4. SOmetimes it takes a more specialized test to get an accurate result.
My best to you Phil
take care

Ok. Here's something else.
What do I do when I'm told by my shrink that I don't really need meds and that she's only given them to me because I asked for them so vehemently? should I keep taking them or what?

Unbelievable, find a new doc if you can!
That sounds like a statement that could get that doc in hot water.
That's like saying that you don't have the flu but I'm irresponsibly loading you up on antibiotics because you asked. Which, in turn could cause more problems than the flu.
Tina, that doc is not good news and probably incapable of doing a good job for you.

Tina, Thanks for the info. My doc told me about the gel. He said pills don't work very well, shots are inconvenient. They had a patch that a guy would put in the genital area(sorry)but they found their wife's growing facial hair etc.
The gel is a major step forward. As I mentioned to IsoM on Babble, maybe it can double as a hair gel. naaaaaahhhh! 8^D

> Unbelievable, find a new doc if you can!

It's scary if a doc is giving you something like a psychotropic drug while thinking you don't need it.

One of these days you will trust your instincts (it took me til almost 50 years old) and you won't be worried about such questions. You will allow yourself to believe your own intuition, which I bet is excellent, but you're not quite trusting it yet.

What do your instincts tell you about this situation with the doc?

ooohhhhh, the brave warrior returns from the dreaded real wurld, full of tales of terror and mystery no doubt, bloody but unbowed, dismounting from his white horse to a hero's welcome.

Enough fantasy. But do tell what it was like out there!! And show us your scars! And warn us what to look out for!
