Oh, Poor Cindy. You're taking statistics - Not to wonder if you're depressed. Did that fifteen years ago, still got nightmares about the the red and blue balls in pots, and reaching into a pile of fifty slippers in a dark closet with hopes of pulling out a matching pair!
I was thinking about some kind of survey you could do here with the abblers, but it wouldn't work because you cannot trace us and consequently you couldn't get a random sample... I am out of ideas, but if I think of something, I'll surely let you know.

(a) What kind of technician are you? What are you interested in? There's no point writing a term paper about soemthing that bores you to tears.
(b) One poll question? What kind of stats are you supposed to be running on this? Is this supposed to be some sort of Harris Poll thing where you're just calculating margin of error, or do you need to indentify populations to compare?
It would be helpful to know a little more info before any of us can give a good answer, I think.
Cheers,
Bob

If I click on a post, what is the probability that I will get a new post vs. getting a repeat post from the sticky keyboard/heavy fingers of Dee and Bob?

You'd need to multiply the independent factors of a slow moden, bad connection, a single phone line, old computer, a mediocrate ISP, the amount of keys missin from my keyboard, my impatience to wait for the message accepted note, the effectsx of mosquito sprayings in the ghettos in NYC, and my inherently neurotic responses to all of that and everything else.
We ARE beating the odds!
