That was lovely Toph, just lovely.
Well, sad. But lovely.
I like your rhyming.
Catchy.
I'll hum that on my way in tomorrow :-)

> I'll hum that on my way in tomorrow :-)Thanks, alex. Maybe being up at 3 a.m. writing stupid poems has something to do with it. Hey, Isn't it already tomorrow?

I was up at 3, if I'd have know you were too, I would have stayed on longer. I'm thinking a chat in open is in order for several of us here, if I could just figure out how to get to the ding dang thing........

So sad, my dear. Three a.m. is a time for sadness isn't it. It's the deepest time of the day.
(((Toph)))
You really haven't failed.
You just see it that way.
Whatever it is .. you have done the best you could at the time. Sometimes it's not the same "best" that others are capable of. But you're not the same as anybody else. You've had different challenges. Ones that have shaped who you were to a Certain Degree. And that Degree can be changed every moment. Do you want it?

I think we feel old for a lot of reasons besides being physically exhausted. My job feels old. My will seems tired. My soul feels sick. My dreams are dead.

Whoa, do you ever need a belly laugh, my friend, hahahahahahahaha
I've felt like you. Which is why I do what I do. I do believe, some days, that I am insane to be putting myself in the position I have. I mean, really. I've been just a little TOO honest now, and people know I come here, people who could really use everything to hurt me if they wanted to play a little.
I'm being very very paranoid right now, sorry, I'm sorry Toph. I'm feeling incredibly bad about myself. I hope you feel better soon.
Susan

I know what you mean, susan. I've mentioned my kids by name and I worry about that. If they or someone who knew them would identify them I think they would feel betrayed. I've never mentioned my wife's name, but I'm tempted to because it's a drag to keep referring to her as "my wife" all the time. Then there's some stuff I would probably share about myself that I can't for fear that someone will recognize me. I guess it's sad that it would be the bad stuff I've done that would expose me and not anything I might be proud of.

Very good. I like it.
However.
After reading it I'm tired. If I were you I would be cackling with glee over that.

I would say that would not be a totally inaccurate assessment.

If you took the above self-effacing comment of mine as something offense, then I apologize for not being more clear. Your reply, of course, was unambiguous. I regret the misunderstanding.
Good Luck ; )
