Did you go bowling?
I'm so super busy these days that vacation seems like a theoretical concept. LOL
I got promoted to an HR position at my work and it is always crazy with deadlines, crises and phones ringing all the time.
I'll be training new hires, screening resumes, doing interviews, hiring/firing etc. I'm supposed to help replace our current "acting manager" right now.
I would be so bad at bowling that I'm sure it will be hilarious. LOL I imagine gutter ball after gutter ball. LOL
Well, I'm glad you had fun and hopefully one of these days I can spare some time to get together with Babblers.

As much as I'm sorry you weren't there, I'm very glad that it was for such a good reason.

It was definitely a case of keeping it simple. I used to be able to hook the ball, but I actually did better just being a straight shooter, so to speak. Or maybe it was the shrimp and grits. Anyway, I had a lot of fun. I'd never been to a bowling alley with live music before!
It was also good to brainstorm about Babble. Looking forward to Austin next,

It was a beautiful day today. Saw Ruthie Foster and Samantha Banks tonight, and they were great. Looking forward to tomorrow!

Argh, I need a vacation ASAP.
My work is killing me lol. I'm working 10 hour days like 13 days in a row!
I've gotten a cold sore twice in my life and I have one now, probably due to stress. LOL. Plus I have scabs all over my body from unknown itching, probably due to stress lolz.

I'm on SSD so going somewhere won't work either. I'm just sick that I missed you. Babble was my first home after finally buying a computer so I've known you as long as anyone online.

well I suppose I"m in NY, and might (or then again, might not) be free at various times on Thursday May 3----
but I wouldn't want to do it unless someone else besides Bob were there.
I haven't noticed anyone else's volunteering-- I mean I suppose if I could talk my so/partner into it, I could be persuaded-- but he teaches on Thursday, and I don't think classes will have ended then--so I"m not sure that 's possible either.
So.. well, if anyone out there is in NY or nearby...

Yes to DC!
Although I post very infrequently, I've read dr-bob at least weekly (and usually much more) in the past three years. Among other goodies, this community has effectively helped me to move beyond my chronic suicidal ideation - witnessing the events and reading the stories of people on this forum have served as emperical evidence that I really have no justification for suicide.
Hopefully I'll force myself to post more this spring through fall in an attempt to get to know people better before the (potential) meet up.
