Philli[a,
You wrote,[...my hair..hair spray..my first baby..]
I am unsure as to if you are wanting to mean if there is or is not a connection with the hair spray and your first baby. Could you expound on that?

I may have been 15 at boarding school when I had a dream about Grace Slick.
This song is an exercise in imperiousness....wonderful, with Nicky Hopkins on piano and Jorma Kaukonan on guitar.

Most Australian music sucks...derivative soulless nonsense.
But not this: here is something different you won't likely have heard ofhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MiQ7V1ZUbTU
by the wonderful Triffids.

Someone put this up on Youtube recently. It's not the best version, but still.
You will love the words, and perhaps know someone to whom they might apply.
(David McComb, the writer of them, had a heart transplant and then committed suicide later.)Tender is the Night.
I knew him as a gentle young man
I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes
And years before his timeSurrounded himself with shiny things
First night tickets, ermine, pearls upon a string
And disappeared in all the pestilence
that sudden pleasure bringsHe never asks after her anymore
He made a point of losing her address
And every trinket that she ever touched
he keeps locked away
And just burns up In the furnace of his chestWell I spoke to a man who says he's done it all
and the only thing that pleases or excites him now
is hurting, hurting then hurting some more
There's someone I want to forget tonight
Don't you want to forget someone too?
I left him, and I can leave you tooBaby let's go out tonight
It will all turn out all right I'm sure
Don't want to drink at home again tonight
So let's go out
Let's go out tonight
It's getting dark earlier now
But where you are it's just getting light
Where you are it will just be getting light

Half Past France, by John Cale
I suppose I'm glad I'm on this train
And it's long
Somewhere between Dunkirk an Paris
Most people here are still asleep
But I'm awake
Looking out from here -- at half-past FranceThings are much different here than Norway
Not so cold
Wonder when we'll be in Dundee
Old Hollweg knows his way around
He's no fool
Wish I'd get to see my son againFrom here on it's got to be
A simple case of them or me
If they're alive then I am dead
Pray God and eat your daily bread
Take your timeWe're so far away
Floating in this bay
We're so far away from home
Where we belongI'm not afraid now of the dark anymore
And many mountains now are molehills
Back in Berlin they're all well fed
I don't care
People always bored me anyway. From here on it's got to be
A simple case of them or me
If they're alive then I am dead
Pray God and eat your daily bread
Take your timeWe're so far away
Floating in this bay
We're so far away from home
Where we belong.

Abba?
You might remember Lou, how snooty we (some of us) were about Abba in 1974?
Though the passing of the years made me think more about it.
Here is my favourite Abba song, and you can even read about Frida's non-aryan nose in the comments below....
