Trucker,

How is the weight loss going? I almost joined a TOPS group tonight, but they must have rescheduled - the building was empty.

Thanks,

Hey, 24lbs is still great! There is a lot of wisdom in what your doctor says, though. At least you got a start...

Hi Calico,
I'm new to this particular board, so I'm no doubt walking into the middle of a conversation, but I know all too well what it's like to jump onto the med merry-go-round and face one disappointment after another. After eight brutal years and a suicide attempt earlier this year, I've finally been put on Effexor XR, and it seems to be working really well for me. I have a poem posted on the Psycho-Babble Writing page called "Tyrannosaurus Meds," which provides a pretty good idea of what it was like for me when my pdoc had me hopping from med to med, with no light at the end of the tunnel in sight. The anger and despair and frustration just got to be unbearable. Atticus

Hi
Atticus. I like the name of your poem. I will look for it. Also, I was on effexor for 2 years, and when it was working, I felt quite well. I hope that it works for you, Calico Cat

Atticus,

Welcome. Most of us here have ridden that drug merry-go-round, and a few are still on it. Thank God for the breakthroughs though. Sounds like you are doing pretty well finally. =)

Surprise Party for Mystic... Shhhhhh......

Calling all YoYos (except Mystic).

Let's throw a surprise birthday party for Mystic on her birthday Sunday. We can all get together and hide in the dark, and then when she comes we can all jump out and yell, "SURPRISE!!!" Oh dear. No. That won't work. Us over-forty ladies don't take surprises well (need forewarned so we can be armed with Depends). Well, nevermind then. Hey, let's make it an open-house. Just stop by and wish her a happy birthday. Dress is casual. Come as you are. Lexy, I know your boyfriend won't be back yet, but perhaps Tom (Cruise) is free to escourt you.

No RSVP required.

Simus

P.S. We need someone to sing lead on the birthday song. I only sing back-up.
