isn't life a four letter word.... a dirty four letter word... i hate that saying... after my baby was born dead folks would say "its just life" or "get over it and move on" or "you killed your baby driving truck" cause i drove some until i found out i was pregnant.in fact he was conceived in the truck... or "hey he's better off dead, doesn't have to live in this here world" you never get over it ya just learn to live with it or not....

i hate the word "LIFE"

It has been a very busy weekend for me; lots of yard work yesterday because it was our disposal company's "spring cleanup" day, when they let you bring all kinds of yard debris, broken appliances, etc. and dump it FOR FREE! My son, 2 grsons and I did a job on an apple tree (with HAND saws, I might add!) and it is almost gone now.

Since we are on the "dental" subject, does anyone else but me grind their teeth?

Trucker,
I read your post about "life". It sounds like you still have a lot of greif along with your depression. It may really help you to go see a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist. They will help you catch your negitive thoughts, stop them, change them and inturn change your moods. Lexapro can help get you out of the woods but talking to someone who can help you confront and deal with you greif may be really benefical for you.
Those people who said that you should "get over it" or that your baby "was better off dead" are very insensitive people who do not understand the complexities that the four letter word brings.
Good Luck and God Bless Trucker, I'm rooting for you.
Lexy

I always wonder if we could put all of these little symptoms together, if they would fit some sort of profile for a deficiency/excess in something...

Hi Mystic . . . and everyone! I hope everyone had a good Easter/Passover holiday. I have a 7 year old who still believes so ours was pretty fun. I was off work Friday and don't get on-line at home.

I had a couple glasses of wine Saturday night and didn't seem to feel worse for the wear. I probably have a glass or two once a month. Wine normally makes me sleepy and I think being on the med probably makes me sleepier faster. I have read cautionary tales about increased blood pressure when an SSRI and alcohol are combined. Not sure where the truth is!

Have a good Monday!

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Hey...I think it is ok to take the med anytime you remember it as long as it isnt too close to the time you usually take it...Dont worry..haha... Well I'm sitting here just got done grocery shopping and having my first glass of wine since on the meds just felt like it tonight..I hope that it doesnt do anything and make me feel crappy again but we will see...I used to go out every friday night with my brother and his wife and my husband but havent done that in a long time...We used to have a quite a few beers and some appitizers I really miss it a lot...it is soooo social...So just felt like having one tonight...Anyone have any input on that i would love to hear any experiences with the lex and having a couple of drinks..I hope that everyone is doing well tonight it has been so quiet I have missed everyone...Talk to you later...Mystic

hey guys...i drink on lex and don't seem the worse for wear. i never get DRUNK but will have a few glasses of wine, a margarita, etc. ive heard that its more risky to drink on lex (ssri's in general) if you are on them for depression, because alcohol is a depressant. as far an anxiety it seems to have less of an effect. i was on paxil for 8 years prior to this and drank then too...and my BP is 110/70...i am a little younger than some other posters though...dont know if that matters? emily

Hi Anakin - Welcome to the Board. I only post at work, so not on weekends.

Your dress is GORGEOUS!!! I love it! And I love hearing about wedding details! Are you wearing it strapless or with the halter effect? I just got married in July '02 (2nd wedding but still a big one) so all of this is fairly fresh in my mind. So much fun! I should have started taking meds before my wedding too - I think I would have enjoyed the whole event & planning if I hadn't been so full of anxiety, hormonal surges and the beginnings of some depression.

Take care and keep us informed :-)

Hey Lexy,

I hope you had a wonderful Easter. It must be nice knowing that you get to go home in just a few days. I'm really happy for you.

The Wellbutrin has been really helpful in keeping me from feeling too foggy. I do have my off days but it's really helped. Decreasing your dose might have a positive effect for you once you're home. Here's to hoping that you don't have to wait much longer.

Wow, I missed a lot over the weekend. I'm only half way through reading the posts that were put up on Saturday and Sunday.

I hope everyone had a really nice Easter. Mine was great. I was a little worried about my stress levels, but it's starting to look like I have everything under control.

The Wellbutrin is working out pretty well and I'm glad I increased my lex to 20 mgs. The difference is subtle, but it's helped keep my negative thought patterns under control.

It's good to "see" everyone.

Hi Kathryn -
So, how is your sleep on Wellbutrin? In one of Trucker's posts, it sounded like WB kept her awake? I am still sooooo tired during the day and have a hard time focusing and therefore finishing tasks. I still have some insomnia too, tho not as bad. Being tired is depressing (small d!) cuz I don't feel productive at work, don't feel like working out, etc. Thanks!
