Mystic, I just went up to 15mg yesterday. I feel about like I did when I first started with the 10mg - kind of spacey and headachy. I take Lorazepam to help me sleep, and I had to go up from 1mg to 1.5mg last night.
I think some of my anxiety is coming from not knowing where everybody went. I got to the social site by clicking on the link in one of Dr. Bob's re-directs. I have posted there, but no responses yet. I hope we all find each other soon! I am glad you are still around. jlynne

Mystic, I upped my dose to 15mg yesterday and had to take extra Lorazepam to compensate,so I am feeling pretty spacey right now. I hope I make sense. If you go to the psycho social page, scroll way down, I have started a new thread called "Redirected Lexaproers". Maybe the others will find it, too. jlynne

[like I said before, I increased my Lorazepam yesterday, and I'm feeling a little fuzzy, so I hope this makes sense] A shortcut is to go to the page where we were redirected, up at the top of the page click "Framed" and it will split the page into left and right sides. Scroll way down on the left side. That is the entire Psycho Social board. That's where I started the new thread. jlynne

Mystic, if you found this message, you are in the right place. Go to the very top of this screen and find "Framed", click it and you will get the split frame window. Scroll down on the left frame, and you will find all of the social threads, including ours.
I will be out of town today, back later tonite. I will keep in touch. I slept well and am feeling better today. I will try the email. jlynne

Hey, are any of you guys checking this site? Dr. Bob is redirecting many of our posts here. It seems that we are getting a little too friendly and we need to use the social site. I am really concerned that I will not be able to keep in contact with all of you. I rely upon you all so much for support and really like to know what is going on with all of you. Please respond so that I know you are still with me. Mrs. C

Mrs. C, Mystic and I have finally found our way to the main psycho social board. I have started a new thread there called "Redirected Lexaproers". I know that Mystic is very anxious to hear from you. Let me know if you need help finding it.
Actually, if you go to the top of this page and click "Framed" it will split the window into two frames - if you scroll all the way down on the left pane you will find us. Good luck. jlynne

Just wanted to thank everyone for sharing their side effects on Lexapro with me...it totally helps knowing that other have been or still are going through this.
It's especially hard to open up to people in my graduate program, everyone seems to have everything so together, while I feel myself unraveling at the seams. I've been daunting a mask these last few months, smiling and acting calm and collected in my classes, but I have felt somewhat of a release these last few days, posting here and opening up to a few friends in person.
It's like I'm afraid for people to see my flaws, my weaknesses, but I'm told that others will see me more as human, and less as an object of perfection.
So thanks everyone for listening, and writing, mystic, ms. c, Bob Yuma, want info...and everyone else. It's helped so much!

Hi Kateincali, I know what you mean about not being able to open up to people you know. I have not told any of my friends about my problems. I feel like I have to put up this "perfect person" front for everyone. That's why I come here each night. It helps so much! Maybe that's part of my problem!?? Mrs. C

Hello Kate..I think that we can all say we have that problem...You wouldnt believe how many would never even in a million years suspect that I have this problem..In fact one of the patients was asking why I had lost so much weight and I told her that I had been sick and that I had been depressed and I thought she was going to faint...I am a very friendly..funny..people person that people just take a liking to and I can joke with anyone..which is a curse because you think that you have to always be that way even when you dont feel good and that is hard...but sometimes It can bring you out of yourself and forget...its a catch 22...but I hope that you feel better and that you make it to the other site that we are posting on now because I think we are just supposed to use this one for meds only...Take good care of yourself...Mystic

Hi ladies . . . I found you! I don't see any posts on this thread from 3/14 or 3/15, but hopefully everyone has found this part of the site. I've been away from the computer for a few days and had a lot of catching up to do.
It sounds like some of you had varying degrees of good & bad days last weekend. Keep in mind that recovery is a jagged line, but it is a line always going uphill! You have to wait a week or a month then look back to assess the sum total of that space of time to really evaluate if it's working! In the meantime, keep the faith and keep addressing the individual symptoms - like insomnia and/or anxiety - ask for help to work through those moments, hours or days.
Mystic, did you decide to up to 15 mgs yet? Emily, how are you feeling today? Mrs. C., you sound wonderful as always, I'm so glad you found a therapist. Do you like her/him?
It is amazing how many people struggle with depression or other mental illnesses - and are able to put on a happy, public face! Is it a tribute to the strength of human nature or just sad that we feel we are forced to do it?!? I guess it depends on the degree to which you force yourself.
When I started talking about it at work a bit, I found that 3 women in my dept. (women I thought I knew well and have worked with for over 15 years) have been on an anti-depressant at one time in their adult life. I didn't feel so all alone then - they are all over 50 and I'm 40, so they are now my "mentors" through this stage of my life!
Please everyone, hang in there and keep looking for the big picture. Mystic, you sound so much better than you did a week or so ago, I hope it reflects how you are feeling! Whew, this is long, sorry!
Take care & God bless!
~ Lynne

Lexy - good question! I guess if it deals with meds stay on the psycho babble thread. If it's just general stuff, go to the social thread. If it's both, you can safely stay on psycho-babble cuz you mention meds. If there's no mention of meds, better put it on social.
Just never start a new thread and we will always get everyone's messages (if we always check "notify you of later follow-ups to this thread".) You can just change the title, like you did.
Now, isn't that as clear as mud?!?!
