How about having a get together in Cape Town, South Africa? That way I'd get to come for once, and I'm sure Dr Bob would be willing. Are there any other Babblers from this part of the world?

Hi Auntie Mel,
I am interested in the reason/reasons that you chose Cracow as your favorite city. I am assuming you mean Poland. I have a friend/acquaintance who spends a lot of time and has interests there(in Cracow,Poland)and really seems to enjoy it.

Yay! I'm really happy. I'm going to think about the trip and Dr. Bob whenever I can, to get the maximum amount of joy from this. :-)

Yay! I'm going to meet Dinah!

:-)

Dr. Bob, I hope Babble never dies and we have parties every year.

I'm excited! It's going to be fun! :-)

((((((((((((((((((((((((((Dr. Bob))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

I luv you!

Yay! :-)

I don't think it's too early for a Yahoo group. I'd like to keep my enthusiasm high, given how much it's going to cost me. :)

Where's the best area to stay?

I know I've asked this before. My memory is not what it ever was.

What area of town will the events likely be?

I'm not sure Dinah. I was little when I lived in the SF area.

I want to stay where other Babblers are staying. When I went to Toronto and stayed by myself I was kind of lonely.

Will you be going to SF alone? You can stay with me if you want. I dunno where I'm staying yet tho.

Let's get the Yahoo Group up and running! You and I will probably be the only ones posting until April LOL, but it'll be fun planning!

I love planning. I'm always planning lots of stuff even though we end up winging it instead. I don't mind though. :-)

Ooooh, I'm excited.

I would post to the Yahoo group, too :-) (nm) » Deneb

He might see it sooner than on board.

I'd really like to see the group up and running.

Consider me a "maybe". It's a little too early to plan but I can probably make it.

All right!

If I understand, it's a definite yes for Dinah, Deneb, Lar, Daisy, Zen, 10der and who else?

And a probably for Tabitha?

Mel, I couldn't tell if that was a response to a poster or to going. Will you be there?

I'm sure I missed people. Please correct me if I forgot anyone, and we'll update it so that it will be easier for Dr. Bob to start the Yahoo group.

I'll tell you in two weeks if there's any chance. I'm flying to SF on Saturday (EEEEEEE......) (I'm not supposed to say anything bad, so I'll just say EEEEEEE.....)

If it goes well, maybe I can come-- depending on how it fits with Jeffrey's teaching schedule. Classes end at the end of April, but there are exams and graduation at the beginning-middle of May, so he might not be able to get away.

So I guess that's a sort of maybe for me.

Could you make time to set up a Yahoo group?

It may seem early to you, but really it's not. With the state of everything right now - i.e., money, fuel prices, etc., some people may feel better locking in reservations and so forth now.

Plus, I may (hope!) have a new job soon, and I need to be able to tell the truth when I say I need XX dates off as I *have* reservations for a trip, etc. I know it's a while off, but still....

It would sure be helpful if you do that so we can start sharing/planning.

Thanks.

It would certainly be much easier for those who might be interested, if they knew more about what was being planned, to decide to attend.

Sometimes, having concrete knowledge allows you to imagine the value of an experience, when, just having dates and locations, you might worry that you wouldn't enjoy yourself, or know what to do.

Having the yahoo group seems like a really good idea.
