I'm going to do what Dr. Bob wants me to do, focus more on making the trip a fun experience for all rather than just focusing on Dr. Bob.
I'm going to think about different things we can do. I'll do some research on this.
I can't wait for the trip! It'll be so cool. :-)

Well, two things, actually.
{shhhh....don't tell, but.....} I made my reservations, and now I'm scared and doubting my decision a little. Not too much, just some. Like should I really do this? What if people don't like the IRL 10der? What if I act like a nervous dork? On the other hand, I'm very excited and Toronto looks so beautiful and interesting (only been to Canada once when I was 15, and only for 2 days)!
Second thing - I just got a *feeling* you wanted to post something new on this thread....am I right? ;-)

What if people don't like the IRL 10der? What if I act like a nervous dork? You're not alone with those thoughts 10der. I keep thinking I will make a fool of myself, but, I'm so excited about the trip that none of that matters anymore. I don't care if I make a fool of myself. :-) We like you here, there is no reason why we wouldn't like you in real life because, well, we like you already! You are *you* whether here or in real life. :-)

Me too. I'm excited about my first trip by myself. I've been to Toronto several times, but never on my own.

LOL, thanks for replying to this thread. I just wanted to get people into writing about the trip again. :-)

oh drat...I usually don't resort to the word thingie (is it a word?), but after two midterm exams today my brain is mush and I can't think what things are called! Are you still going to set that up? Or should I (we?) start Babblemailing each other? I'd like to communicate safely about this trip, in everyone's comfort zone, etc...
Not trying to rush anyone. Just being my dorky self ;-)

I've set it up. If you'd like to attend the party (whether or not you'd like to attend the workshop), please post a note to this thread, and I'll send an invitation to join the Yahoo Group to the email address you used to register here.
Based on the last few posts, I'll start with:

I've made hotel reservations, so I'm leaning on coming. The more people that come, the more motivated I am to attend. Count me in (85% chance).

I wish you could too --- but I do understand. I can drive to Toronto, so it's not too bad for me.

Are you going Annierose? Tell Dr. Bob you want to join the Yahoo group for planning if you're going. I hope you're going!
