I'll be a guest speaker for your classes. I could impart my infinite wisdom into our blossoming youth. Encourage them to delve deeper into one's psyche to purge the demons within.

I wonder if I'm I too old for beer bongs?

I wouldn't be brave enough to present anything myself, but I might be brave enough to be the voice for other people here.

I would be willing to voice the opinions and views of people who cannot attend the event. I will quote you word for word. ;-)

I found this great deal to see 6 Toronto attractions for $38.35 USD ($78.18 USD value).

http://citypass.com/city/toronto.html

Is it too early to plan for the trip? I'm so excited about it I can't help but plan. I've already decided which hostel I'll be staying at. Anyone want to join me?

LOL. At this rate, I'll have to go to Toronto during my winter break!

The APA meeting is being held at the Toronto Convention Centre. Here is a link regarding public transportation and a map to the facility:

http://www.mtccc.com/parkingandmaps.cfm

It's centrally located - close to Union Station - and a great jumping off point for the city.

It's never too early to plan a trip :-)

Perfect! Great central location! The hostel I've picked is also centrally located.

I've been looking at restaurant reviews at

This will be so fun, I hardly ever eat out! I don't know much about food at all.

Hi all, I very recently posted asking if the 2006 PB Birthday could be in Toronto, thinking that I was being really "off the wall". NOW I see that it's already being discussed.

At the risk of being a nuisance, & because I'm sort of too lazy to try & find & read all the posts about it - what has been decided?

I live an hour North of Toronto, so perhaps I could help in some way (don't want to bite off more than I can chew though).

I don't mean to be a pest, but if I'm going to be able to make it this year, I'm going to have to plan.

A Babble birthday party wouldn't be the same without you, but I know you'll be busy with conference things. When would you be available to join us? Just so that we can plan dates and make whatever reservations we can make.

Maybe it's best if I'm around some of the time but not all of the time? :-)

I'm planning on arriving Friday during the day. Saturday during the day is another meeting, that of the American Association for Technology in Psychiatry:

http://techpsych.org

Would any of you be interested in doing something (maybe essentially the same thing) there?

Sunday I'll probably have a couple things to go to here and there. And of course our workshop will be Monday morning. Otherwise I don't have much in the way of plans yet...

Is it time for another party committee?

Bob

********What do you mean?

Sorry - I sometimes have difficulty finding where certain threads "come from" so when I try to go back & read what's happened I can't find it. As a result, right now, I'm feeling really 'lost'...I'm very interested in the party - if it's in Toronto I can attend! BUT I can't find the info I need. Sorry. Is there a certain place where the party planning is going on so I can read all the posts about it?

Thanks Kath

Hi Kath,

Sorry it's confusing. There's a thread over on Psychology about our involvement in the APA meeting.

Hi Deneb - thanks! I'm still trying to find where it tells the info about the Birthday party being in Toronto, and when & where exactly (if that's even known yet).
Also, I remember reading from someone who said they were from Ottawa & can't seem to find that one either!

I'm pretty excited at the thought of being about to meet Babblers in Toronto, but I mostly know folks at PB2000, so I don't even know if there'd be anyone there I'd know! I'm probably too shy to go if there's no one there I'd know.

ALSO, I posted SOMEWHERE saying that I live an hour north of Toronto & might be able to be of some use & I don't remember WHERE I posted that!!

Thanks - Kath

I do believe it is, Dr. Bob.

I don't need to know much yet, other than what days are involved.

It seems as if there are people in the area, who would have ideas for planning.

Although I must confess my favorite moments from the last party were the quiet ones with a good chance for talking. And of course that wonderful dinner the first night! Annierose is terrific.
