Help, please...I owe Dr. B. a post, or more than one - (see below) - to get the potential party dates out there....re:

http://www.dr-bob.org/babble/admin/20050219/msgs/470020.html

I'm having trouble picturing the best (simple) way of collecting votes for dates.

One post with a subject line referring to choosing a date for Babble party?

Or, would separate posts with different subject lines (the 3 date choices?) be better? Posters could post replies under their date preference?

Sorry, all. This type of thinking is often nearly impossible for my ADD-challenged brain. (Big picture stuff, ideas = great. Implementation (details) = run screaming away!)

Additional thoughts...some posters will probably be "okay with any date", some 2 of the 3, some only one, and some unable to attend on any of them. Can we make that easy to indicate?

PS: I shall make myself more useful in the very near future...I promise. :-(

How about one location, but ask them to put the preferred date(s) in the subject line.

I can do the counting if you like.

A count and a firm date will give us something to start with, at least.

PC,

Are you comfortable posting it? 'cause I still can't "picture" the subject line or what to say... If so, please do go ahead and do it.

If not, I'm sure someone else will...?

PS: sorry - I am not trying to be difficult..

My vote is June 8th.
... That is, if this is the correct thread for this. It doesn't appear to be based on many of the other posts but i still think it is so , yeah.

P.S. Happy PB birthday Dr. Bob. This is, and especially has become a great and helpful site.

I vote 4th or 18th

I'd like to avoid the Blues Fest, actually. So either of the other dates work for me, unless there is something else huge going on on one of the other dates.

I don't like big crowds, and I'm worried about traffic and costs.

gg, who is considering coming, but still on the fence.

Father's day weekend isn't a big deal for me, but it may be for other people.

I guess I vote for 6/4, because I think that 6/18 will end up being a problem.

Or 7/16...

I like GG's idea of wearing costumes. Though I'm not sure what a poet costume should be. I've got time to think about that.
