I increased my parnate from 80 mg to 100 mg as per my doctor's instructiohs. But now I can't sleep!!!
I get so frustrated. The amount of effort and time I put into feeling good when that time could be used in other ways. I just want to feel normal.
I'm tired but I can't sleep.
Someone sing me a lullaby. :)

Maxime
The same is happening to me. My sleep cycle is all off. I can't sleep even on a dose of 30 or 40 mg of Parnate. Then I finally sleep at 4 a.m. which means I get up at about 10, which means I take my Parnate at this hour, which is too late-- and causes insomnia the next night. I took Parnate for many years without this problem, and in somewhat higher doses...
Anyway, you are not alone, if that helps.I am trying to avoid taking any strong sleeping pills, but I usually wind up taking either 1 mg of Klonazapam or 2.5 of Valium, neither of which seems to help much anyway. When I was taking Vicodin that would help significantly, but i have decided that Vicoding is a drug that I want to avoid, so for the past 3 weeks, I have not been taking any Vicodin.
These past three days I have cut down to just 20 mg of Parnate and still here I am wide awake at 4 am.

I just started Parnate (20mg) but a little bit of Seroquel at night always puts me out. Been taking that (50mg) for over 2 years now. Never have a problem getting to sleep.
Just an option....

Rick,
Have you tried waking early just to take parnate, then going back to sleep? Just a thought to help reset your sleep cycle?
I keep my a.m. meds bedside w/ water.

The lulleby was too strong. :) I slept from 6 pm to 10:30 am the next day. I was still in my same clothes. Now I feel all dizzy. I hope I can get things sorted out all right - mood, sleep, the universe.

I slept!!! I was so worried about over sleeping and missing my interview but I slept anyway and I feel so much better today.
Interview did NOT go well and I have been crying for most of the day as a result. :( The interviewer told me I was useless to him.

Useless what was he looking for that you couldn't do? That's nasty what he said but you slept that's good. You wouldn't want to work for a nasty person like that. Love Phillipa

Yeah, Phillipa is right. You're better off not working for someone like that. I'm so glad you were able to sleep well, though. That's such great news! Hope tonight goes well too.

An online friend died today. I feel lost. I don't think I will be able to sleep. Between my friend and worrying about everyone in Haiti ....
