Do it slowly, week at a time or longer. Take 37.5 mg and see how that is. If the withdrawal is really bad from doing that, then take your usual dose but take beads out of it, a little more each day. And take your time. IMO, Effexor is the worst withdrawal EVER. I was only on it for two months, and my pdoc (whom I fired) had me stop cold turkey. I thought I was going to die. I was on 75 mg. I had been on 150 mg, then on 75 mg for two weeks (that drop wasn't bad), but you can't go to zero overnight.

You can withdraw from anything with enough patience. Hang in there.
