I have 2 big yellow labs, my girl Una (85 lbs) who is all love and wiggles and tiny, little kisses if you plead gently with her...and my big guy, Tommy, who was rescued about 3 years ago and is a big hulk (105#) of a guy, all slobber and wet, french kisses and an insaitable appetite. He has put away a loaf of bread and an entire carrot cake that I left on the counter, which you can never do, as his main job is to watch and see where food items may be unattended.
Labs are the best, have unconditional love to give and are good therapy for me in that they can push me to take them out and it gives me a purpose to have to care for them when I'm not feeling up to doing much of anything.
I don't know where you live but we have a Lab rescue group here in CT that I work with from time to time. MOst of the labs come from the South and there are tons of labs everywhere that need homes due to the economy, sad commentary today.
Gotta love those labs!!!
