I think we have laws (technically on the books) that are comparable to the ones that were just introduced to HOng Kong.

We have laws against treason etc. And I think the maximum sentance is lifetime imprisonment.

Would our people riot if we didn't have those kinds of laws... And the government wanted to introduce them all of a sudden?

Not sure.

Pretty sure the people wouldn't want the laws to be introduced if they knew what laws the government wanted to introduce.

Our government relies on the whole gamma babies picked in alcohol not being able to read kind of a strategy. smoke some ganja (hey it's not political interference if snoop dog and some mma guy say to do it -- it's political interference if some americans say to read the literature on teh consequences of legalisation in states where it has been legalised).

Which makes it clear the government wants the laws to change.

mj makes people complacent.

makes people put up with more.

the head of the state services commission. the minister of EVERYTHIGN.

the fact that the 20 per cent thing wasn't done. the laws weren't proposed and passed in a timely fashion.

he was busy thinking how we could con more people into signing up for the trades

(we have no intention of signing them off shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh)
