I know I've mentioned it, and at the moment it's difficult to get a doc to approve for non-diabetic purposes, but Semaglutide (specifically the new pill version Rybelsus) is a game changer.
I've lost 17lbs in 2months and have never been able to lose psych meds weight aside from w my first time on Topamax (not worth the side effects).
Nardil is def a weight gainer. There was one study I found that showed it did affect metabolism in a minor way, so even if you eat the same calories as someone else you'll gain slightly each month....
I'm probably going to ask if anyone has done (or might consider doing) a trial of Nardil + Rybelsus in the MAOI subreddit (https://old.reddit.com/r/MAOIs). I know many people have sought a solution for Nardil at gain, and some have liberal docs willing to try things like Metformin etc. I might reconsider Nardil down the road if Rybelsus could allow for weight -loss- (or proper bmi) on it.
Def good glp-1 agonists though on google scholar or pubmed. Nothing like them for weight loss imho....
