prozac diaries

Posted by rjlockhart37 on January 22, 2021, at 19:15:06

this afternoon, i slept till 3pm which is crazy, i went to bed at 4am, that usally not my schedule. But i woke up at 3 and felt so gloomy, the skies outside are grey today so its been externally kinda gloomy too. But prozac has i go from gloomy to normal to almost good mood, kick starts mood in morning. When i was in high school, i rerember around this same time i would wake up gloomy and stay that way, i also take lamictal 400 in morning too, at the beggining or the start it was too much but it stabllizes my mood and lets the prozac work better with less mood swings. Keeps the depression at baseline

I've been prozac for 16 years now, when i first started it i rerember feel a impvoved mood, but i was on 20mg. Then over the years i did struggle badly with depression, and we tried wellbutrin with prozac, that didnt work. So finally my doctor said ok to 80. It's worked, but i notice if i don't take it im very depressed and its almost painful during the day in mood wise. That's kind of ironic, that it sounds as antidepressants are addictive yet there cheically not, but if you look at opiate cases, people enjoy the opaite feeling, and can function but when its removed withdrawl and misery feeling. That's why i think, antidepressants have a similar case. But they don't give the 'good' comfort feeling as opiates do. They just improve mood to normal

keep in a fairy good or normal mood. 80 increases norephinephrine in brain, at high doses. It's the least selective SSRI, meaning it more broad in receptors, compared to celexa and paxil. Stimuating a bit. So, im just writing what has been happening. It makes, makes everything feel 'ok' like everything is ok. The one thing that doenst have good, is sometimes things are not 'ok' and need to act on problems. But a review, it's good med, 80mg max is good dose but rarely used. Hopefully it will continue to work this way, even after 16 years
