Yeah, you might be able to get away with taking a very small amount of 5-htp or tryptophan. I wouldn't push it though. Even though you are on a low dose of effexor, you can still get an appreciable inhibition of the serotonin transporter at lower levels.

Whenever I am unsure, I always dissolve the supplement in water and take slow sips throughout the day to see. Tyrosine and Phenylalanine would likely not be an issue. Just watch your blood pressure.
