I believe the compounding pharmacies found no source because they (a) checked only their usual sources, or (b) limited their search to certified pharmaceutical grade phenelzine (sulphate).
Try to do a search on your own. It may help to search for the CAS-number. The CAS# for phenelzine is 51-71-8, and 156-51-4 for the sulphate salt.
