I am actually dealing with this now. I have insurance through my gf and her company was just bought by another who has different plans.
I've been on Marplan for 7yrs now and the new plan I'll have next yr will no pay a penny towards Marplan. My current 60mg a day dose would cost $990 or something a month. So I'm going to have to have a big discussion e my pdoc in two days about alternatives. I'd actually prob be excited to give Nardil another go (was on it a few months ten yrs ago) but the weight gain ugh I think that kills it :-(.
Anyway yea med prices are a huge problem in the US. We pay way too much compared to other countries.
One thing to try (although it doesn't seem like it will help w Parnate) is GoodRx. ( https://www.goodrx.com - there's a phone app also). I don't know how but they are able to get you much much lower prices on drugs. Tyoe in the drug and it'll show you the prices their coupon code can get you at pharmacies neat you. For a time I was using that to get provigil for $70 when it would have cost $500 w.o. Most of the app reviews and searching I've done seem to think it's an ok thing to use.....they may get some basic info on you but for $100s saving I'm ok w that....
