Remeron worked very well for me at doses as low as 1mg. 1-3mg seemed to be the insomnia sweet spot for me.

The only issue I was having with mirtazapine was that it had a very long action. It didn't seem to clear my system till noon (or later) the next day. I have since switched to nortriptyline which isn't as good for insomnia, but I do have a bit more energy in the morning.

However, for insomnia, mirtazapine was probably the best med I have taken.
