some ect people claim lifetime deficits. i have an N=1. it saved my mothers life and she had NOTHING of what you said. nothing. it is a life saver for thousands of people. #2, meds can cause irreversible damage.
my mother had the worst breakdown i have ever seen. at that point, you go straight to ect. there is no waiting on med trials.
i would not get ect for the wrong reasons that's why i do my research. if i need it and i may now, i won't think twice.
there are tons of people that claimed that they were harmed long term by ect. who administered it? there are even more people that claim permanent damage due to meds. what's one to do? i would never rule it out completely by anecdotal 'evidence.'there is no rest for the messenger until the message is delivered.
