I had to re-do my registration. It wouldn't send me an email to update my password. So, it's still me, Raven13...but I guess in 2.0 version >.<

I'm all a mess at the moment - just picked up XR from pharmacy, where pharmacist said to me that the generic Kpin actually lasts longer in your system than brand...and I may want to talk to dr about a cross taper since I have been on generic kpin for a little over a year now.So I text my doc, and she says that she thinks it is very unlikely I will have an issue, if I do, to text or call her right away (I have her personal cell phone, don't have to go thru office staff or anything.) but that she really feels it is fine to just switch over.
I am just terrified of seizures.
With Kpins long acting attributes, won't it sort of "self-wean" anyway? And it isn't like I won't have any benzo's in my system - I will have the 2mg of XR twice a day (so actually a higher daily overall dose than the Kpin) plus I have up to four .25mg Niravam I can take if needed.
So many other sites are just interested in tapering completely OFF, don't want to discuss if you might actually need benzo's - I am having trouble finding info on a cross taper, especially one utilizing XR.
Of course, meds are a panic trigger so it is hard to NOT get myself worked up anyway. Uggghhh. It took me over 5 years to even try a med I was so scared of them.
And also completely housebound.
And I don't want to go back to that place again. I was just starting to make some real advances when the Kpin just...stopped working.Sorry to ramble. Just frustrated. And nervous. And just wanted this to be an easy, simple switch.
And then I see something like the Ashton manual or read some of the other non-helpful (not on this site) forums, and I feel that "deer in the headlights" feeling coming on.
=(
