Lawsuits on TV for Paxil and Zoloft + Birth Defect

Why when I'm starting to trust SSRI's do they televise these things. Lawsuits on Paxil and zoloft for birth defects in cardiac for pregnant women. If they hurt babies wouldn't they also hurt adults? Just rather confused and frustrated. Phillipa
