Are you in the USA? Is the insurance your mothers. If so that sucks! If you can get the insurance card and find a doctor on your own and not tell mom. That would be good. Maybe you could just try to reason with your mom and tell her you want to talk to the doctor privatly. Maybe she would understand?
I was sent to the hospital in USA, just for saying to a docotr that (I was new in the US, from CA) and I said that I was worried that I might drive into the median. More like I didn't understand how the roads work down here. She sent me to the hospital. The admiting doctor asked if I wanted to be admited or not it was my choice. I said I would just because I was there and they sent me in for a week or so. When I was in canada they sent me to the hospital and asked me to sign in or else they would. I was in there for 3 months, they gave me ECTs, meds and a bed. Treated me till I was stable and let me go. I left and went off the meds got sent back to the hospital for 3 more months. That time I learned my lesson, (take meds). Didn't have to go to the hospital again till I got to the US. I've been taking my meds non stop and avoided the hospital for 12 years now, since being on zyprexa.
Anyways you could just say you want to go to the hospital and they might let you? Just tell them what you said on here. I guess it make a difference if you have insurance. If your not in the US you should be able to just go and check in?
Why do you want to go to the hospital. Are your meds not helping? What you should do is take charge of your own treatment. Tell the doctor you don't want to talk with your mom in the room.
