I have just recently come around to the fact that Lamictal just isn't enough for me for depression. When I first started taking it, I really liked it. I thought it helped get me out of depression better than an ssri. But I was also on 5mg lexapro at the time. I tried going off the lexapro more than once, and now I'm thinking about going back on it again, or something else, because I have been very depressed lately. I also have some anxiety so I'm hoping it helps with that as well.
For me lamictal has very few side effects, so I think that is one reason why I was so hopeful that it was the only thing I would need to take.
I think for most people Lamictal works best as an adjunct to their regular meds. herpills
